Quick Hitters on the New Trump Indictments - 6/13/2023

Regarding the 37 indictments charging President Trump:

It's hard to find unbiased and impartial commentary and analysis of these charges. Pundits, commentators, and analysts either hate Trump or they love him. There is no middle ground and their stances on Trump appear to me to uniformly and perfectly conform to their like or their dislike of Trump.

I heard John Soloman report yesterday and read from a standing order issued by Trump when he was President that was a blanket declassification of all documents he took home while he was President. I haven't seen, nor read it in its entirety myself, so I don't know it's scope and I am not qualified to comment on its validity. Unquestionably, though, the President of the United States has declassification authority that is NOT subject to some dipshit bureaucrat's determination, approval, or procedure.

If you haven't read the Espionage Act and the Presidential Records Act yourself, and instead you're relying on your biased commentator or analyst of choice, you probably don't know what in the hell you're talking about. Many times the comments and analysis we get cherry picks a sentence here and a phrase there totally out of context from the rest of the document. If you don't read it for yourself, and documents like these aren't easy to read at all, you may sound smart, but you ain't.

If you're listening to a pundit who opines that Trump kept this stuff to sell access to the Saidis, and you find yourself agreeing with him or her, you're an idiot.

This case won't be settled until the Supreme Court rules. Even after it does, people will claim they got it wrong, no matter how they rule on it.
