Hiatus Ramble - 8/28/2024

Good Ol' Matty P is going to be on hiatus for a week or so, while traveling on some pleasant family business.

Just a few thoughts as a parting message:

Apparently Vice President Harris has a greed to an interview on CNN with Dana Bash, and with her running mate, Governor Walz in tow. The interview will be taped in advance, so what we will see is an infomercial, not a real interview.

She has also agreed to a debate with former President Trump. It'll be on ABC, an extremely anti-Trump entity. It will be interesting to see if Trump can manage himself. If he does as well or better than in the Biden debate in June, he'll be very successful. If she can lure him to fly off the handle, and he goes rogue, she will emerge the winner.

I do realize she's way, way left of me, but I really like Nicole Shanahan. I like the way she communicates and I get the sense she's sincere. I like her a lot. For that matter, I also like RFK Jr., warts and all, and Tulsi Gabbard, who is my favorite of the three. Some of my friends are completely unwilling to even consider liking these Democrats turned Trump supporter. Some of my friends are stubborn bastards.

Shanahan, Kennedy, and Gabbard all have their differences with Trump, but recognize sometimes for the greater good you compromise principle for the practicality of avoiding an even worse outcome. They recognize that it's a binary choice, and KH is a worse choice. Some of the anti-abortion/pro-life absolutists abandoning Trump (who nominated the judges who overturned Roe) could take a lesson here.

I heard it said, and I think it was correct, unintentionally but surely, Donald Trump has exposed the uni-party portion of the GOP. These are the noteworthy neocon and establishment types who are now backing Harris or sitting out in protest. Thanks for self identifying as members of the uni-party, scumbags. Trump has brung out the real you. Fuck the real you.

Jack Smith has refiled a new indictment against Trump. He, and his boss AG Merrick Garland, too, are obsessed with interfering with the 2024 Presidential Election.

Jack Smith is a partisan political hack. He's also an asshole.

Trump, if elected, needs to clean out the entire upper echelon of the DOJ and FBI, ALL the U.S. Attorney's offices, Intelligence apparatus, State Department, Department Homeland Security, and other agencies. Have them all, every last one above whatever is the right level to protect the rank and file, tender resignations ON DAY ONE, with job application attached if they want to stay on. I am talking about thousands of Federal Employees. This has to be done to clean out the Merrick Garland's down to the Alexander Vindhman's.

I am finally fully and totally convinced: The 2020 election WAS stolen. The 51 intelligence official's letter and the FBI pressuring social media and news media to squash the Hunter Biden laptop story, which the KNEW without question was legit, deceitfully calling it Russian disinformation, was the difference in the election, other cheating notwithstanding.

I have lots more to say, but our travel preparations are waiting. See you round the first part of September.

The Realignment - 8/27/2024

Today's blog post is primarily directed at my Democratic Party friends, if I still have any. Please read it with as much an open mind as you can. I guess what I have to say is also a message for some of my friends on the right, too, but I say it's for you on the left because it's you I see going off the rails. Way off the rails.

Before I go further, let me make this simple statement: we all, left, right, and center, tend to see ourselves as positioned in the righteous center of the political spectrum. Where we all are individually seems to each of us to be justified, normal, correct. We see people to our left and to our right, but in our own minds, at least we know we've got it right, and we're reasonably, logically, and morally justified positioned right where we're at. That probably is true for everyone reading this, no matter your politics.

About 10 years ago, I was talking a liberal Democrat friend of mine, someone whose intelligence and heart are both extraordinary and whom I hold in the highest respect and affection. I casually told him I saw myself as a moderate, and he quickly corrected that I am actually very conservative. At first I was quite taken back. I didn't take him on in debate, but his comment did shake me a little and made me think. I always saw myself as reasonable. On taxes, military, abortion, immigration, death penalty, and other issues, I felt I was moderate and not extreme at all. As I reflected on his words, though, I realized he was right. It wasn't that my views on life and political issues had changed much in the preceding 20 or so years. It was because there had been a significant shift the sands of pubic opinion leftward, leaving me further to the right of the center of the spectrum than I had been, even though I hadn't moved at all.

Not too long afterward one by one I saw the left going further and further leftward on issue after issue. The leftward lurch was accelerating. I saw that in the age of Trump, Trump's personality was used as a springboard by the left to get their portion of the electorate to abandon moderation and veer left. The biggest example I can think of as I type, I know there are others, is immigration. Democrats sat back and allowed a globalist, anti-American wave of unmanaged, uncontrolled, harmful immigration overwhelm our border cities and spread. Human trafficking, fentanyl, and violent criminals were waved in like the bull in a bullfight, passing the matador's red cloth, full speed and passing unharmed. Hatred of Trump was very cleverly posited as the counterpoint. To agree with Trump is to be a racist and a xenophobe. This kind of thing happened on issue after issue, each lurch left justified by pointing at Trump and knowing how bad the orange man really is.

A relentless leftward shift continued and continues. It is dangerous for our country.

Elon Musk, Bill Ackmann, both billionaire Democrats, have finally said enough is enough. The move to the left has become a bridge too far, and have come out in favor of Trump.

The Democratic Party has been ruthless and unscrupulous in it's march to power and control. They have sought and agressively employed every legal means imaginable in ways we've not before seen. They've gone after Trump on absolute bullshit that's NEVER been done before in our history. We've all known this, but it was when Bobby Kennedy Jr. talked last Friday about what they did to him that I realized what is going on is bigger than Trump. Bigger and worse in every way. Democrat operatives have tried every single thing they can to get Trump, Kennedy, and Jill Stein off of ballots to clear a path for a Democratic Party win in November. Democrat legal action has cost Kennedy over $10 million. Most Democrats (and I do mean YOU, reading this) have been willfully blind, even supportive, to these malicious and evil efforts to undermine democracy. You've watched as an old man with dementia (you knew it, DO NOT LIE) was propped up as a capable leader, all the while our country run by an invisible, unnamed, unelected, insatiably power hungry cabal.

Yesterday, another Democrat, former Congressperson Tulsi Gabbard, a National Guard Lieutenant Colonel, endorsed Trump at a National Guard Association event. Like Kennedy, Musk, Ackman, and a few others, she sees what I do: that the Democratic Party has moved so far left that the center was nearly abandoned. Except it wasn't. All four of the aforementioned recognize something that your television propagandists aren't telling you: Donald Trump is NOT a far right conservative. I really don't care that Joe Biden called us over and over "far right MAGA extremists". It's a lie. Trump supporters may appear to be far to the right, but only because you've been led so far to the left that you need binoculars to see the middle. I have come to believe that Democrats literally hate our country and hate the U.S. Constitution. Do you or don't you? How about that Democrat Primary though? You voted for Kamala, right?

How much is Trump in the middle? The GOP establishment is up in arms, calling him a Democrat and bemoaning his abandonment of traditional right wing positions on abortion, for example, where he is far from an absolutist, instead supporting something pretty reasonable. On issue after issue, he is nowhere near as far right as the media and Democrat machine would have you think. He has moved to the middle for two reasons, in my opinion: 1) Because that is his natural political inclination. He is not a staunch conservative, but a moderate. Let's not forget, he was a New York Democrat. His sin was taking on Hillary Clinton. Let there be no doubt, He's not far right. 2) The second reason he has shifted to the center is because he sees the void in the middle left by the giant Democratic move to the left. Millions and millions of voters in the middle have been left abandoned by the Democrats. These people aren't conservatives, but Trump is appealing to them not with conservatism, but with pragmatism: strong military and no wars. A strong economy that helps everyone, no matter what color, religion, or place of residence.

Elon Musk, Bill Ackmann, RFK Jr., and Tulsi Gabbard aren't far right extremists. They're Democrats who woke up to see how far off the rails the Democratic Party has gone, not just in it's political positions, but also in it's undemocratic, unacceptable, extraordinary efforts to seize and maintain power. Why are you pretending to be blind to all that? Blind to Biden's dementia. Blind to how your nominee was installed WITHOUT giving YOU, the Democrat voters, a say. Blind to how insane, immoral, and dangerous the legal challenges to Trump have been. Blind to how badly propagandized your sources of information have become. You may as well call them Pravda. Blind to what it is Musk, Ackman, Kennedy, and Gabbard see.

The times they are a changin'. I do recognize that the entire spectrum has shifted to the left. I can live with something in the middle or just right of the middle. Democrats, help me to understand... how in the hell did you get so far out there, and how the hell do you ever walk it back? Kamala Harris' voting record in the Senate was to the left of Bernie Sanders. It was. As a Presidential candidate in 2020, then Senator Harris advocated for every far left position on every issue. Now she cleverly won't say what her positions are. There are unnamed whisperers saying what it is they think the electorate wants to hear, but Harris has NOT come out and made plain what her vision of our country is. Maybe I shouldn't care, but I do. If she's elected, the same power hungry, unelected cabal that operates the Biden Administration in his cognitive absence, will pull Kamala'a strings, too. We are headed toward globalist, authoritarianism in which the government presumes to know what's in my best interest and in yours, our opinions, dreams, and goals be damned.

It's time, Democrats. It's time to move back away from the far left ledge. Take it upon yourself to learn why Elon Musk, Bill Ackmann, Robert Kennedy Jr., and Tulsi Gabbard have abandoned your party. It's time. Find out what Trump's position is on your most important 10 issues. Are you really that far off the charts to the left? Maybe, just maybe there was more "orange man bad" than actual analysis of the issues that has driven your support of the extreme leftward lurch. And you, Republicans conservatives: I know Trump isn't the conservative stalwart you were hoping for. He's not. But the pendulum has swung way, way left. How in the hell can you stay on the sidelines and watch the Democrats take us to God knows where? It's a binary choice. Wake up.

By the way, I think the root cause of the Democrat leftward lurch is intersectionality, but that is another complicated story I may or may not write about on another day.

Observations From the Weekend - 8/26/2024

Afterward I'll tie the two together, but before I get to the invisible and 'retired on active duty' President currently in office, Joe Biden, I want to comment on an exchange I saw between Jonathan Karl of ABC and Republican Senator Tom Cotten yesterday. Interestingly, depending what news outlet you learn about the exchange on, if you don't watch it for yourself you could come away with a highly inaccurate description of same. I watched it.

Sen. Tom Cotten was on ABC's This Week with Harris propagandist Jonathan Karl yesterday.
Cotton pointed out a series of policy proposals Vice President Harris made as a Senator and as a Presidential candidate in the 2020 race. One of those was a call for the abolishment of private health insurance in favor of Medicare for all. Karl rebutted Cotten's assertion, saying Harris has changed her position on the issue within the context of this 2024 Presidential campaign, to which Cotten responded, correctly, 'no she hasn't'. Karl was insistent and Cotten said (paraphrasing) 'leaks or whispers by aides, lacking a clear statement from Harris herself, is NOT a change in her position on the issue' (or any other issue!).

What we have is a stealth candidate who speaks in slogans, clichés, and generalities. She doesn't give policy proposals, offering instead generalities and a complete and an intentional lack of specificity. Democrat voters are OK with that. They know she's far, far left. Far, far, far left. That's ok, because most of my Democrat friends pretend to be fairly moderate, but when push comes to shove, they're onboard with the far left agenda. They're fine with aides whispering and Harris remaining silent because they don't really care, and they know the aides are far lefties like them, so cool, let the unnamed, anonymous aides run the country. They really don't care at all to find out if this woman can do the job, because they're voting for the same cabal who are running the country now, just to keep on keeping on as they do with an incapacitated President laying on the beech, hiding from his duties.

Our figurehead in chief.
So, that's brung me to my second point. I saw a post on X by Miranda Devine yesterday, that President (in name only, he's only a figurehead now) Biden was leaving his vacation in California, which started immediately after his speech at the DNC Convention last Monday, for 9 more vacation days, this time at the beach in Delaware. Our president is absent. Yes, he's absent minded, but that's NOT what I'm referring to. What I'm referring to is his schedule and work. We already knew he was on a much reduced workday, remember the 10-4 leak? I contend he is barely working at all at this point. It would be interesting to know how many actual work days he has spent in the Oval Office since his dementia was exposed to the willfully blind on June 27th. That was two months ago, and I betcha he hasn't been in the office 10 times. I'm being generous, very, very generous, by saying 10.

Who the fuck is really in charge? And why in the hell are my Democrat friends okay with Harris not talking, and Biden not working? What the fuck is wrong with them?

There is an unnamed and unelected cabal running the United States right now. Our President is just a White House resident, but behind the scenes he's powerless and useless. The cabal who run the show now have installed, absolutely and totally undemocratically, but to the joy of Democrats, Kamala Harris, the sitting Vice President, as his heir. She doesn't talk to the press in any meaningful way. I heard at least two Democrat strategists this past weekend on Democrat propaganda TV networks advocate that she NOT talk policy and proposals, as doing so might reduce her chances in November. That was kind of shocking to me, they said the quiet part out loud. But I do agree, if she spoke of her policy proposals, some of them would be so bad, even lefties might be shocked, but more importantly, her inability to explain her proposals substantively in the face of even friendly scrutiny would expose her incompetence and lack of fitness for the job.

Fitness for the job? Okay, I admit it. They don't care at all about that. They trust the unelected cabal. They want the unelected cabal to remain in power. As long as they continue to choose to get their news from ABC and the likes of Jonathan Karl, and from MSNBC and the likes of Morning Joe ("This is the BEST Joe Biden EVER!") there is NO CHANCE at all they will think for themselves and look critically at the shambled Biden Presidency and virtual Harris candidacy. Kamala Harris' lack of specific policies allows them to fantasize about every and any lefty wish list items and presume Saint Kamala and the invisible gods she serves will surely deliver them: the whole kit and caboodle.

On the plus side, after pulling the plug on Joe and installing Kamala without any votes, they're done with the "threat to democracy" nonsense. At least the Orange Man is still bad!

The Robert Kennedy Jr. Announcement - 8/24/2024

I don't shock easily. I've seen a lot since I became interested in politics since the early 1990's. Before that I didn't pay too much attention. I had voted, but I was preoccupied with day to day life. Rush Limbaugh, RIP, is largely responsible for changing that. I started listening to him, and as a follow on to other conservative talk shows, That was in the 1990 time frame. As I said, I've seen a lot, but I ain't never seen no shit like the shit we got going on now!

Yesterday, RFK Jr. suspended his campaign and endorsed Donald Trump.

Yesterday I saw something the likes of which I don't remember. A member of one of the most iconic Democratic Party families of the 1900's, Robert Kennedy Jr. yesterday gave a speech I found more compelling and powerful than anything I remember hearing since I first got interested in politics. I'll simply refer to him as RFKJ for simplicity sake.

I had no idea how unscrupulous the Democratic Party had been in fucking RFKJ over. They did everything they could to screw him and insure installing senile puppet Joe Biden as nominee. There was no democratic process. They took to the courts to thwart his candidacy at every turn. There is and was nothing righteous or good about what they did. It was pure power politics being used to crush opposition and dissent. When they weren't in he courts to thwart him, they were colluding with social media to silence him. The Democrats showed themselves to be the evil, ruthless, power hungry monsters with RFKJ that we already knew they are with how they treated Trump.

Keith Olbermann, via X: "To my old friend Robert Kennedy Jr: you're a fucking anti-American disaster."

Lemme tell you what's anti-American, Keith, you prick:

Spying on the political opposition, using every tool the U.S. governmental intelligence and law enforcement apparatuses have at their disposal to undermine and thwart his candidacy and the execution of his Presidency.

Cheating on elections is un-democratic and un-American.

Bogus impeachments, bulldozing attorney client and executive privilege to destroy your political opposition is un-American.

51 Intelligence and law enforcers of the U.S. Government brazenly lying about a laptop they feared would hinder the election of their favored candidate. Their jointly signed letter had all the hallmarks of anti-American treason.

Knowing the Iranians were and are plotting to assassinate an ex-President and presumed Presidential nominee of the opposition party and having absolutely lax security, to the point of either criminal negligence or something much worse. I fear it was something worse.

Using extreme partisan prosecutors, judges, and juries to try to bankrupt and jail the opposition party candidate during the election year.

Covering up the fact that the President of the United States has advanced and advancing dementia in the interest of retaining power. He is barely function, a puppet in every way. Who is the puppeteer in charge? Some un-elected oligarch, that's who.

Suing and challenging any and every effort by a prominently named Democrat who sought the nomination through legitimate democratic processes is anti-American.

Removing the failing President from the race, not because of his dementia, but because they were afraid he would lose. In doing so, the votes of almost 15,000,000 Democrats were invalidated without their consent. It was un-democratic and un-American.

Installing an incompetent and under-qualified Vice President as nominee without giving voters a voice is undemocratic and un-American, too. She got zero votes as President. Zero. She gave no press conferences. She participated in no debates. She gave no in depth television or other interviews. She has no stated policies of her own. What has she got? Just "joy". Well, not just joy. She also has the full power of the corrupt Washington and DNC machine doing its best to stay in power by installing her as their new puppet.

Keith Olbermann can fuck all the way off with his use of anti-American. I know what anti-American is. I've been watching it play out day after day after day in this country for over 8 years.

RFKJ is a hero. At a point in time and history when almost anyone else would have waved a white flag of surrender, he instead waved a middle finger of defiance. In retaliation, I fully anticipate the evil powers in D.C. will come at him legally, and an assassination attempt will not surprise me. We are dealing with absolutely evil people here.

I also expect another attempt will be made to kill Donald Trump. Sadly, my Democratic Party friends and neighbors SUPPORT these efforts to quash RFKJ and Trump. Yeah, you do. You might not admit it, but you do. You haven't, won't, and don't speak out against obvious corruption and malfeasance, and you will vote to keep a corrupt, evil machine in power. Your silence is a full-throated and absolute endorsement.

I'm linking RFKJ's speech here. It is worth watching.

RFKJ Withdrawal and Endorsement

The Gay Wedding Ring Thing - 8/22/2024

Michigan Attorney General, Dana Nessel, at the DNC Convention: “They are going to have to pry this wedding ring from my cold dead gay hands.”

Michigan A.G. Dana Nessel
Spoiler: I don't think the GOP cares who she married, and nobody is making an issue of it except Dana herself.

Rant: I am sick and tired of being portrayed, because I'm conservative, as some kind of bigot. I'm fucking tired of it. "Racist, homophobe, Islamophobe, zenophobe," you know the list, the infamous Hillary list. I can't prove I'm not any of those things, including that I'm not an anti-gay bigot.

Here's the rub: I don't have to prove to Dana, to you, or to anyone else that I'm not an anti-gay bigot. If you suspect I'm an anti-gay bigot because I will vote for Trump or for any other reason, you have two choices: first, you can come to me as a friend and express your concerns about what you perceive to be my bigotry. Tell me what I've said or done that makes you think I am. But there is one condition if you're choosing option one. You have to be open minded and listen to my response to your concern. Or, if you think because I'm conservative and Republican I'm an anti-gay bigot, but you DON'T want to talk to me about your concerns, there's always option two. Option two is a lot simpler: go fuck yourself and stay the fuck out of my life, because you are an evil, judgemental piece of shit.

I'm sick of liberal Democrats making these kinds of blanket accusations and judgements. Look, Dana... I don't know why you think anyone wants to pry your wedding ring off. Until now, I didn't even know who you are. Now I do. You're an asshole liar, and in your zeal to see a Democrat elected you are making your obsession with your own sexuality somehow a national issue when the truth is nobody cares. And to do this you take the liberty of painting me and a lot of people like me as anti-gay bigots. Dana, you go straight to option two, because even though I really don't care who you sleep with go fuck yourself.

DNC Convention Ironies - 8/21/2024

While the DNC Convention goes on inside the United Center, speakers, notably Joe Biden, retell ad infinitum the "good people on both sides" hoax. I don't need to, nor shall I re-litigate the hoax here. If you are a Democrat and have been stupid enough not to look beyond your favorite echo chamber's reporting, nothing I can say here will help you. Let me point out the irony... Just outside the United Center are a bunch of racist, anti-Semitic Jew hating Democrats, who would more quickly participate in a second holocaust than to admit the Charlottesville "good people" thing was a hoax. (I'm betting they don't accept that "Russia collusion" was a Clinton funded hoax, either. Why? Because they're sheep who don't think for themselves. Just very stupid, very hateful, very anti-Semitic, obedient people.)

I wonder how many "good people on both sides" hoaxters there are amongst the DNC anti-emites.

The other irony is that Vice President Harris has to run against the Biden / Harris economic record. It's damned near impossible, seeing as she's the Harris in Biden / Harris. They need to separate her from their record. Just today, the Bureau of Labor Statistics corrected the Biden Administration's job creation numbers downward by 800,000+ jobs. This is the largest correction in 15 years. It's not great news. It doesn't bode well for Harris and commie lover and valor stealer Walz to run on the economy. Just like being the border czar who purportedly had nothing to do with the border, she's the Vice President who also had nothing to do with the Administrations economic record. Do you know what they'll do?

They'll ignore her record, placate and pander to the anti-Semites, and run against racist Trump on the basis of the "good people on both sides" hoax. The irony in it will be lost on them just as easily as they've lost touch with the truth.

Election Law Changes I Could Support - 8/20/2024-2

I recognize the U.S. Constitution may make some of the following impossible, but if the law allowed and I could have my whole wish list, here are some things I would wish for:

1. Establish a national voter registration system, where each voter has a unique ID (maybe tied to SSM) which somehow would flag as ineligible voters who try to register in more than one state or jurisdiction.

2. Proof of U.S. citizenship required to register to vote, each voter issued a National Photo Voter ID with their voter ID number at no charge to the voter.

3. National Voter PHOTO ID required to vote. National Voter ID automatically deactivated upon report of death to the Social Security Administration.

4. A requirement that every state, territory, and Washington D.C. will clean voter rolls every 4 years in the 6-12 months prior to US general election to be completed NO LATER THAN Primary Election voting beginning.

5. Automatic loss of voting privileges for 5 or more years to person or persons convicted of voter fraud, depending on the magnitude of the infraction, as little as 5 years, to loss for life for major election fraudsters.

5. Automatic permanent and swift deportation for foreign nationals convicted of voting where ineligible.

6. Make Election Day an national holiday.

7. Require all mail in ballots to be postmarked no less than 5 full business days before Election Day and to be received no later than poll closure on Election Day. All late received votes, except for those cast by U.S. Diplomat and Military people stationed abroad, shall be considered invalid.

8. Require early voting availability in all states and territories for exactly two weeks, ending on the Sunday immediately preceding Election Day.

9. Early voting and absentee/mail in ballots received by the Sunday immediately preceding Election Day to be counted prior to 6 p.m. on Monday, Election Day eve.

10. No open primaries. To vote in a party's Primary Election, one must be registered as a member of the party.

11. Expand Motor Voter to include easy or automatic registration for every new employment W-4 form completion, military enlistment, Selective Service Draft registration,  property tax payment, passport application, and for Social Security number, Social Security Benefit, and Medicare signup applications. Make it harder to NOT register than to register.

One person, one vote. There's no excuse for us not making our elections more secure.

I Admit, It's Dumb, and It's Genius - 8/20/2024

I saw a post on X this morning that got my attention. Somebody took the tie to count out how many times "Trump" was mentioned, verses some other topics. Here's the tally of mentions (if it's not accurate, my point stands):

Trump:        147

Economy:    27

Border:         8

Crime:          6

Prices:          5

Inflaton:       3

What do I make of it? Simply this: they aren't even going to try to make a case for their leftist, progressive agenda. Not even going to try. Why should they? For them, way easier to run against the evil, mean bastard that is Trump to so many, than to make a case for the intersectional far left, progressive potpourris which defeating Trump will usher in.

Making the election about Trump minimizes the inconvenience of having to explain policy positions.
Forget about how Vice President Harris was installed as nominee. Forget about how much of an empty suit she comes off as every time she tries to articulate anything. Forget how badly she fucked up the only thing she was in charge of as Vice President, the border, which for me is the single biggest issue facing our country. None of that matters to them at all. None. And how me and other conservatives might feel about them matters least of all.

"Let's run against Trump, first, second, last, and foremost. Let's keep to the absolute bare minimum any and all substantive discourse on issues. These can only hurt us, especially with this bad a spokesperson. Instead, bang the Trump drum, morning, noon, night, even in our dreams. That's the ticket!"

Harris: "Hi, my name is NOT Donald Trump!" Crowd: "Hip hip, hooray!!!!"
We're fucked.

DNC Convention Week is Upon Us - 8/18/2024

Before I get into the upcoming DNC Convention, I want to address an egregiously bad remark this week by Donald Trump. The former President referred to the Medal of Freedom as being equivalent or better then the Medal of Honor. I don't know about you, but for me this kind of misstatement epitomizes the Trump unforced error. Mr. President, maybe sometimes you can not oversell and hyper-aggrandize every goddamned thing that you happen to have had anything to do with. Your comment was wrong, and an insult to brave Americans who gave all. You owe them an apology, at a minimum. Candidly, Mr. President, sometimes, too often actually, you talk TOO fucking much. This was "sometimes". Carnival barking like this that throws shade at the MOH is unacceptable. You're lucky your opponent is a socialist, damned near a communist, or your chances would have taken even a bigger hit. Sometimes just STFU.

The Medal of Honor stands alone in prestige, second to none.
OK, I feel better now.

You never thought they'd go this far left? Ladies and gentlemen, meet Harris/Walz, your Progressive, Socialist, Leftist, Democrat wannabe commie ticket.
It's DNC week. I have questions:

Who was it that thought Planned Parenthood doing free vasectomies and medicinal abortions for the Democratic National Convention was a good idea? Maybe these things are always free and someone is just using them to tar and feather the DNC.

I've seen stories about massive Palestinian (aka anti-Semitic) protests this week in Chicago. I assume the same Jew haters who wouldn't have Governor Shapiro as the VP pick are pretty sympathetic. I don't know by how much, but to some degree there will be disruptions. How is that going to play out? It could be a full on circus. I think I'll pick up some Cracker Jacks, it ought to be a fun week.

The Democrats running the thing know it will be wild, too. They're putting fences and snowplows as barricades to keep out the unruly. I find the fact they're building a wall around their convention a bit amusing to say the least. Do they realize the irony in it?

Maybe Democrats will come away with a platform. I'm thinking: "Abortion and some other stuff." I won't watch enough of it, but I'm wondering how many different euphemisms for abortion are used this week. Which ones are used the most, and who gets the award for most creative abortion euphemism?

Of all the stuff I've heard speculated, I don't think there's any chance at all that Harris is swapped out, nor Walz. It's not going to happen.

This is Kamala Harris' moment. Will Jussie Smollett get to make the speech to introduce her? I can't wait to hear her talk in broad generalities and say nothing of substance. She at once has to address people's dissatisfaction with illegal immigration, the economy, and direction of our country, and somehow sidestep the reality that she is the incumbent Vice President of the United States. She was the goddamned border czar, quit lying about it. No, it wasn't a formal title, you dumbasses. It was a manner of speaking, but regardless: the immigration catastrophe is her's to own. She ain't selling change, friends. If anything, she'll take us further in wrong directions.

Speaking of wrong. On the one hand, the way Vice President Harris' candidacy came to pass is shocking, but not nearly so much as how compliant all my Democrat friends have been with having such an awful candidate shoved up your asses without your votes or consent. She is by far the furthest left candidate, and paired with Tim Walz, this is the furthest leftist ticket ever in U.S. history. But, hey: "Yay abortions, boo Trump, fuck the Jews." You're sheep. America hating sheep.

In case you haven't figured it out by now, to me the party is the party of abortion, hatred, and a whole shitload of really bad economic and social ideas. I'll be watching this week. I hope I'm surprised with some pragmatic, sensible proposals for our country. I'm not optimistic.

Kamala Harris Economic Proposals - 8/16/2024

Kamala Harris is floating some economic proposals.

Wanna know what happens if the U.S. Government gives first-time home buyers $25,000? First of all, you give the already expensive housing market an influx of new buyers. In short order, due to supply and demand, you'll see housing prices increase. The market will gobble up that $25,000 quicker than you can say "free money".

Know what else will happen? A whole lotta people who don't have the discipline to save up for that first time home purchase will find out that they don't have the discipline to make mortgage payments. All of them? No. A lot of them? Yes.

The other economic proposal is to impose price controls on food. Yes, food is expensive. But damn, I am terrified of the thought of Democrats controlling our food markets. No. Just no. Do we really believe grocery store profit margins are where the problem lies? It's not. Farms cost beaucoup money to run and are affected by inflation. Trucking/transportation costs tons of money, too, and those costs are passed directly to consumers, do not pass go, give us $200. Considering all the foregoing, compared to many other industries, I suspect grocery store and chain profit margins are fragile and somewhere between slim and extremely slim.

Meanwhile the U.S. Government wants to regulate the whole kit and caboodle? Hell no. They'll be deciding for me that I can't have a burger because cows fart. An emphatic no. They'll be vetting the whole of the supply chain for political leanings and make it hard or impossible for those in their disfavor to compete or participate. No way, Jose. In no time they'll have federal dieticians (trust the science!) telling us what we can and can't have on grocery shelves, our very own dietary Anthony Fauci's so to speak. Fuck no.

Then there's this: JD Vance: “We should have a $5,000 tax credit for new parents” Media: “He discriminates against childless Americans.” Vice President Harris: “The tax credit should be $6,000” Media: “She’s wonderful!” Trump: "No tax on tips." Media: "Trump panders for votes." Harris: "No tax on tips." Media: "She cares soooo much about the working poor."

A Kamala Harris Presidency will be devastating to the U.S. and world economy. Let's not forget, neither Vice President Harris nor Governor Walz ever spent any time at all in the private sector in any time of managerial or entrepreneurial role. These are lifelong public sector people with no business acumen or competitive business instincts. Their lives are political. Entirely. Purely. Totally. They are ignorant of what makes a free market work.

How Trump Wins This Election, and How He Doesn't - 8/14/2024

If Donald Trump wants to win in November, and I believe he does, here are a few simple things he should do, and a few he shouldn't.

Butler PA seems like a distant memory.

Do talk about the issues. Talk about the issues most important to voters in Arizona, Nevada, Georgia, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin. Be thinking about the undecided voters in these states as you choose your words. That's who your talking to. Nobody else matters at this juncture. Explain the policies that caused the problems, especially when they are Harris/Biden policies or policies similar to Tim Walz Minnesota policies. Explain how your policies are different and how the changes you will make will impact swing voters in swing states. Focus, Mr. President.

Stop with the personal attacks and childish insults. I doubt you have the discipline, but this has to change. The attacks may be red meat to your base, but they hurt with undecided voters in the swing states whose votes you need. You already have the votes from the base, Mr. Trump, just stop it. Stop with the personal insults and stop insulting fellow Republicans. If you don't like or respect them, wait till November 6th or Christmas or never to insult them. Every time you do you turn off and lose undecided voters in swing states. Discipline, Mr. President.

Do talk about your opponent's record. Be specific. What were the worst aspects of her work as a DA in California? What are the vulnerabilities of her record as a Senator? How will the types of policies she advocated and supported in her time as a Senator (her voting record) adversely impact undecided voters in swing states? Tell them, and tell it straight. Do point out that she is the point man in the coverup of Mr. Biden's cognitive problems. Be brutal, but be professional, Mr. President.

Stop with the unfocused and undisciplined 1-3/4 hour rambling rally speeches. Your base loves them? Your base will also love a more focused 45 minute litany of reasons to vote for you mixed with all the reasons to vote against her. Laser focus, Mr. President.

Do talk about American greatness: restoring our confidence in our institutions, our economy, manufacturing / products. Inspire us, Mr. President.

Don't re-litigate the bogus impeachments, lawfare, and Deep State efforts get you and undermine your agenda. Everyone knows these things, Mr. President.

Do talk about the importance of family, freedom, patriotism, religion, hard work, and commitment to achieving greatness, the backbone of making America great. Talk about the American spirit. Explain how deregulation can and will unleash the greatness of the American people. Make us proud to be Americans, Mr. President.

Do talk about the world on the brink of war: Iran, Gaza, Taipei, etc. Explain why it's important to emphasize and finance a military that is tooled to meet today's challenges. Tell us how unprepared and misaligned Kamala Harris is for these responsibilities. Make us confident in your leadership without sounding like a war monger, Mr. President.

Do talk about how valuable J.D. Vance is to your Administration. Make him proud and pump him up, Mr. President.

Don't forget to talk about how far left the Democrats have shifted in 4, 10, 20, and 50 years. Focus on leftist Governor Walz and his loony leftist record in Minnesota. Steer away from unnecessary insults and stick to devastating his terrible, socialist and un-American record.

Mr. Trump, stick to the issues. Stop with the insults. Minimize the rambling on and on and on. You'll win. I'm pretty sure you won't listen to me, and I am afraid for the result. You will lose.

Why Kamala Harris Doesn't Need to Address the Issues - 8/13/2024-2

Vice President Kamala Harris doesn't need to talk to the press about her position on issues or her record. It's not right, but she doesn't. There is a calculus, unacceptable to me and many of you, but undeniable.

Behold, the savior of the progressive left, Kamala Harris!

Why do I think she doesn't have to speak about the issues? It's complicated, but I'll try not to be in explaining it.

First of all, we're only talking about 7 or 8 states that matter. Deep red and deep blue states are already out of play. So all that matters are the so-called swing states: Arizona, Nevada, Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Georgia, and maybe North Carolina and Virginia. Nobody else matters. Not me, not you, not nobody.

Within each of these states, all she needs is a simple majority of votes.

She already has all the far lefties, including the people who are far lefties who pretend to be moderate but don't want to tell us how far left they truly are.

She'll get a lot of White, suburban women, because killing babies, oops, I mean abortion rights, is the most important thing to them. More than the cost of gas, or food, or housing.

Then, add in all the never Trump GOP and independents. Even if they abstain or vote 3rd party, she's as well off as if they voted for her: one less vote she needs.

She automatically will get a vast majority of the Black vote and LGBTQ votes. It doesn't mean her policies are better for those groups, but they're autopilot voters, already in the bag for her.

Then there's the Union vote. Democrat. Check.

Add in the closet socialists and commies for good measure, and she's up in the 40's, percentage wise.

She only needs 3 or 4 percent more votes than that in 4-5 of these swing states, and she's in. Easy peasy, no talkie no press, no splainy no issues, no problem.

The people running her show know if she talks at length about issues, she is nothing except a liability to her own prospects. The press is totally in the bag for her and continually blowing fresh air into her sails, giving her a free pass on avoiding any forum where she might have to explain, or God forbid she might be challenged, on any issue or her record. Can't have people get to know her and realize they don't like her! Disaster.

So the ghost campaign, sans position on issues, senza questions on her record, will continue; in fact, may indeed win. The candidate who won no primaries, has no stated positions on issues, and doesn't do interviews can win. I'm starting to think there ain't shit we can do about it.

Biden's KKK Comments - 8/13/2024

Here's Joe Biden earlier in his term paying homage to Adolf Hitler.

This past weekend Joe Biden said: "Every other time the Ku Klux Klan's been involved they've worn hoods, so they're not identified.

"Under [Trump’s] presidency, they came out of those woods with no hoods, knowing they had an ally. That's how I read it.

"They knew they had an ally in the White House and he stepped up for them."

I'll limit my remarks to this: What the President said is fucking disgusting, it's a damned lie, and he's a piece of shit for saying it. I'm tired of phony racism allegations. Mr. President, fuck all the way off. Fuck yourself. Fuck you.

J.D. Vance "Absolutely Destroyed" On Sunday News Shows - 8/12/2024

Yesterday afternoon I started seeing social media post after social media post of how badly Senator J.D. Vance performed in a series of interviews on the Sunday morning news show circuit. He was "absolutely destroyed" according to one poster, and "didn't answer any substantive questions." On and on and on went the lambasting. Naturally, I went, found, and watched the interviews to determine for myself how it went.

J.D. Vance on the Sunday morning news circuit.

The people talking about how badly these interviews went are liars, stupid, or more likely, both. He was masterful throughout. All the interviewers slung their "gotcha" questions. He sidestepped the traps. There were no stupid answers, like "Have you been to the border?", "I haven't been to Europe." He was articulate, engaging, intelligent, pleasant, confident, and extremely well prepared. Here are links to each of the interviews, which took place on CBS, ABC, and CNN, all of which are all in on defeating Trump and electing the Democrat du jour, who at this time is Vice President Harris. I suggest you watch one or more of the three interviews in its entirety, and draw your own conclusion. Following are links to each of the three.

As a counterpoint, I also suggest you also watch Governor Walz, Vice President Harris' VP pick, or Vice President Harris herself in their most recent in depth interviews discussing their candidacy and see how they make their case for election in 2024. Sorry, I can't find any links.

On CBS Face the Nation

On ABC News This Week

On CNN with Dana Bash

Some closing thoughts, one liners if you don't mind:

I know we didn't find any Walz or Harris interviews. They don't know who they're going to tell us they are yet, so it's too soon to come on television. When they figure out who they are going to tell us that they are, maybe they will, but it will only be with a very friendly ally.

J.D. Vance made me proud in the way he handled and presented himself yesterday. Proud? Yeah, proud. I, too, once wore the rank of USMC Corporal. A guy like the J.D. Vance I saw yesterday is damned good company to keep. So much so that I messaged a Marine friend about this very thing, how proud I am of my service in light of how this Marine presented himself. Semper fi, Corporal J.D. Vance.

In a lot of ways, the way he interviewed reminded me of Governor Ron DeSantis, the best governor in the U.S. of A. That's high praise from me.

If I was Trump, I'd have Vance do three shows a week on the circuit from now till Election Day. 'Get on them shows and stay on them shows!' He was awesome, on message, and on point. Candidly, he handled himself better than Trump does in many ways, giving the same kind of answers that Trump might, but he did so congenially and pleasantly rather than combatively and antagonistically.

The guy who said J.D. Vance was "absolutely destroyed" on the morning shows is a douchebag. A real, dyed in the wool, no foolin' partisan douchebag of epic proportions.

My Election Fraud Concerns - 8/11/2024

The Pennsylvania Secretary of State has announced it is likely that we will NOT know the results of the 2024 Presidential Election from Pennsylvania on election night.

"We'll keep counting 'till the numbers are where we need them. It'll take time." Not what they said, but that's what I hear when they say it.
I don't like it. I don't like it at all. If someone in Pennsylvania were to try and cheat and steal the election using forged ballots, one very good thing to know would be, "how many do we need to produce?"

Official Pennsylvania Election Results Site

All the nonsense I've seen in the last 8 or 9 years tells me that there are people who will do ANYTHING to stop Trump from being elected. Don't come back at me with the nonsense that our election systems and processes are all on the up and up and beyond question or reproach. You think they are? Tell that to the 14 or 15 million Democrat voters who voted for Joe Biden in the 2024 Democratic Party Primaries. A group who thinks beating Trump is more important that respecting the will of 14 or 15,000,000 voters will also think beating Donald Trump is more important than respecting the will of 75, 80, or 90 million voters.

It ought to be and easily could be done before Election Day. (It won't):

Require all mail in votes to be postmarked 5 business days BEFORE election day and received by poll closing time on Election Day. Remember how tax returns had to be postmarked by April 15th? There used to be a line of procrastinator's cars at the post office that evening, ensuring they dropped their returns got the postmark needed. It's pretty damned easy to send off a mail in ballot a week or more in advance. It's 5 days and you haven't decided yet? I guess you have to go to the polls on Tuesday. Suck it up. There is no reason mail in votes can't be counted on Monday of Election Day week, Election Day eve, so to speak. Late arriving (Tuesday) but properly postmarked votes can be counted along with in person votes on Tuesday.

Any late arriving ballot after the polls close should face an extremely high level of scrutiny before being tallied. Postmarks, signatures, and voter rolls have to be checked, double-checked, and triple checked. If counting is to continue in the days AFTER Election Day, extreme transparency in the counting of those votes is an absolute must. If you want to give the benefit of the doubt to mail in voters before the polls close on Tuesday, that's one thing. After the polls close on Tuesday, it is quite another.

When Pennsylvania announces it will still be counting after Election Day, it does not mean that state election officials plan to cheat. But it is a signal to cheaters where the door to election integrity is ajar. Why in the world should I trust these people? I've been awake for the last 9 years, not under a rock.

It Could Happen Sooner Than You Think - 8/10/2024

I have a hunch, I'll stop just short of a prediction, but no doubt this is what I expect to happen. Sometime around September 15th, maybe as late as October 15th, sooner than later in that window, President Joe Biden will resign for health reasons.

President Harris? It could happen sooner than you think.
He probably ought to have done so already based on his failed mental capacity, but that would have forced Vice President Harris to engage the press and American people meaningfully as President in ways that would expose who she is and what she is like, and they can't let that happen. A person who couldn't win over the voters in her own state in the 2020 Presidential Primary isn't going to win over America if she engages us forthrightly and directly. So for now, letting her hide in plain sight is her best way to victory moving forward.

But by mid-September, some of her honeymoon bounce in the polls may or will have receded a bit, and making her the first woman, and woman of color no less, to be President will energize her supporters.

I am not saying Joe will do this willingly, but he will do it. Heck, he didn't drop from the race willingly in the first place, but he did it. They'll pressure him about Hunter, or the 25th Amendment (again), or something else, and he'll do it to save face or his son's ass or maybe his own ass.

How likely my hunch is right? I'd say it's something more than a 50%, but less than a 75% likelihood. The nameless people who are really running our country in Joe Biden's cognitive absence will do anything to avoid a second Trump presidency.

Sep. 15-Oct. 15. President Harris. Mark it down.

Polls - 8/8/2024

Do you understand how poll sampling works?

A lot of polls are misleading because we don't know what the sample is or was. It makes a big difference. Without overcomplicating things, here's a quick explanation. It is more complicated than this.

Let's say a district has voter registration and or likely voter representation that is 35% Republican, 37% Democrat, and 28% Other or Independent. The district is said to be D+2. That's the basic breakdown, and a D+2 poll should (there IS error) accurately reflect the voters in that town, county, or state. But if you can find it, you might learn the poll says it is D+5. Essentially, the pollster talked to 3% more Democrats than what actually comprises the population. Now imagine the result of the poll has Harris at 50% and Trump at 48%. Can we make any inference based on the D+2 vs. D+5? I think we can.

Graphic showing samples.
The name of phenomena is "oversampling". Sometimes it's done to a large extent, as much as 5 or 6 points higher in one direction or the other, than the actual voter base. Why? To influence you, the electorate, plain and simple. If I think my candidate is losing, I will get discouraged and be less enthusiastic. My candidate's opponent's supporters, on the other hand, feel a freshening wind under their sails, and as a result, their enthusiasm is high. Enthusiasm and lack of enthusiasm are contagious.

It's more complicated than this. For now, the idea is to question the accuracy of the polls we see, and to question the motives of each pollster.

The next time you see a poll, whether your candidate is ahead in it or behind, remember, some polls are accurate, some aren't, sometimes purposefully so. Polls are commissioned by or conducted by someone, most likely someone with a vested income in an outcome. This makes it suspect, and it ought to be treated as such.

Tampon Tim's Stolen Valor - 8/7/2024

I served for 11 years in the U.S. Marines, almost 9 of them on Active Duty, and a couple more with the Marine Corps Reserve. I joined in 1978, and I left my reserve unit in 1990 when a change in my civilian employment necessitated a cross country move.

Many times in the 34 years hence I have had to correct someone who incorrectly assumed I was a Vietnam Vet. "No, I came in after that." Other times I've been asked, "Were you in Vietnam?" I've also been asked about the Gulf War, Desert Shield and Desert Storm. "No, I left my reserve unit right before it started." I thought there was a good chance, since my separation was real recent at the time that I'd be recalled to duty, but I wasn't.

Because I had done more than a single 4 year enlistment, I've had some people, even guys I served with, assume I am a USMC retiree. "You have a retired ID, right?" I don't, I'm not. In one of life's unfortunate twists and turns, the geographic move in 1990 was the end of my service, and I didn't earn the title, USMC (ret'd).

I would never pretend to be either of those things. I am not a combat vet, I am not a retiree. I served honorably and I am very proud of the 11 good years I spent. The friendships still today are meaningful than many others in my life,  and certainly more numerous than any in the other 56 years.

J.D. Vance served in the Marine Corps. Unlike me, he legitimately served in a combat zone. He was a Combat Correspondent and he WAS deployed in a combat zone. Every Marine is a basic rifleman, and J.D. Vance served in a combat zone. That rings all the bells of legitimacy I need to hear. He's not out there pretending to have been a grunt or a recon Marine, but he out there proudly professing to be what he is and was, a USMC veteran who served in a combat zone.

Anyone who pretends to be those things who wasn't has severe integrity problems. I remember a UPS Manager, his name is irrelevant, who tried to pass himself off to me as a US Army special operator type. None of what he was telling me sounded legit, and sure enough it wasn't. He rose well above me in the organization, but I never respected him, trusted him, or let myself get close to him personally as a friend. I have too many friends who are all the things he pretended to be, and I have too much respect, admiration, and fondness for my friends to tolerate some asshole like him lying about being one of them.

Tampon Tim Walz, seen here wearing a camouflaged Special Forces cap. Some Special Forces folks havew noticed the cap. I was never Army Special Forces. I wouldn't wear it.
Tim Walz is another asshole stolen valor guy. I don't give two shits that he served in the Guard. That was a great thing right up till the minute he claimed he carried weapons of war in a war when the truth was he bolted from his unit when the war came to pass. You can make excuses for the motherfucker till the cows come home, but just like the UPS big shot I mentioned before, there's nothing you can do to make me respect his service now that he lied and passed himself off (many times, NOT a slip of the tongue) as a combat vet when he wasn't. You can make lame explanations, as lame as saying that someone with XY chromosomes is a woman (trust the science my ass!), but Tampon Tim is still a stolen valor guy, and that boxer? She's still a he.

Every Time I Think I Couldn't Possibly Hate Them More - 8/5/2024

I hear Jamie Raskin, a Democrat Congressman from Maryland, talk about a possible Trump election today. Referring to U.S. Constitution, Article 25, Section 3, which makes someone who participates in an insurrection ineligible, Raskin says it will be up to Congress on Jan 6th, 2025 to declare Donald Trump ineligible. He refers to "the Trump mob" and starting "a Civil War".

Raskin is Ready to Start a Civil War

Tough Talk from a Douchebag.
I swear, every time I hear assholes like Raskin, three things happen. First, I hate the left more than before. Second, I wonder, how my friends on the left support assholes like Raskin, and third, how dare Raskin and his kind lecture me about democracy.

Let's review:

They tried to bankrupt Trump in the courts.

They have and are trying to put Trump in jail.

The ignored 15,000,000 Democrat voters and removed the nominee by threat of the 25th Amendment.

They installed a candidate who nobody voted for for President anywhere.

And now, if Trump wins, bring on the Trump mob and Civil War, because we in Congress will take him out on Jan 5, 2025.

Mr. Raskin, go fuck yourself.

Knocked Up Nannies and DEI Hires - 8/4/2024

I realize we're in a culture war, and that character assassination of candidates and their associates is the rule of the day. I do. I get it. But, I gotta tell you, it's nothing more than a sideshow. I don't care if Doug Emhoff fucked the nanny during his first marriage. I don't care if Joe Biden married his kid's nanny nor if Kamala fellated Willie Brown as a way to get a head. (see what I did there?)

Likewise, people calling Kamala Harris a "DEI hire" are missing an opportunity. But just like talking about who her husband used to fool around with, it's a fools errand to make that the focal point of your argument against Vice President Harris. And for what it's worth, she's half Asian (Indian), and she's half Black (Jamaican). The fact that she chameleons her way back and forth between the two based on her audience for political reasons doesn't have a thing to do with her competence or leadership abilities.

It's been two weeks since she took the forefront as the presumptive Democratic Party Nominee.

She has done no meaningful interviews with any journalists, and when she does, I am quite confident it will ONLY be with absolute friendlies. There will be fluff questions and softballs tee'd up for her, but no difficult, probing questions that expose her EXTREME lack of depth, foolish and unworkable proposals, and laughable flip-flopping now for votes.

She was installed as the nominee without a primary process because Joe Biden's incapacitation due to dementia was exposed. (How in the hell is he still President? YGBSM!)

Donald Trump, if he can set aside the nastiness like he did when he exposed Biden's dementia, will also expose her. And they know it and she knows it. That's why this phony bullshit narrative about the debate is being pushed by Harris' people. I saw headlines from NYT, WaPo and others claiming Trump is backing out of a debate with her. That's a lie and they know it.

Donald Trump had agreed to debate Joe Biden. Joe Biden dropped out of the race due to the dementia that Harris was and is party to covering up and keeping from the American people. He never agreed to debate Kamala Harris. Her repeated instances of meaningless word salad being posited as profound won't work in a debate with Trump. Let's review the bidding:

1. The Border and Immigration. They're right when they say she wasn't the Border Czar. You know why? Because she still is the Border Czar. Show me where the responsibilities were removed and assigned to someone else. The border is an absolute embarrassment and a disaster. It is Joe Biden and Kamala Harris' fault.

2. Foreign Policy. The only person I could imagine being weaker than Joe Biden on foreign policy as President would be Kamala Harris. She'll be a disaster. Unmitigated. Total.

3. The Economy. Harris comes across to me as a socialist/communist type when it comes to the economy. She's a California liberal, progressive leftist, race baiting disaster waiting to happen. If you think the inflation was bad under Joe Biden, just wait. Kamala Harris will bring California fuel prices to the rest of us. Watch the devastating ripple effect through our economy.

4. The Joe Biden Cover-Up. Kamala Harris knows and has known we have a mostly incapacitated geriatric with rapidly advancing dementia. He is NOT capable of his duties in diplomacy, as Commander in Chief, or anything else. We are being ruled by committee, an unelected, anonymous committee. Kamala Harris knows this and was unwilling to step up and initiate a 25th Amendment removal, as specified in the US Constitution.

Nobody, not one single person, is more responsible for hiding Joe Biden's incapacitation due to dementia from the American people than Kamala Harris.

All things considered, I hate to say it, but as bad as I think she'll be for our country, I think she could win. Democrats don't care about any of this stuff. They hate Trump. The media will enable her to say nothing about anything and everything and paint her as some kind of savior leader, none of which is close to the truth. But she ain't Trump, and folks who've gotten fat sucking the teat of propaganda misinformation and disinformation from our press aren't inclined to think critically for themselves.

Addendum: I saw this after I blogged. It's worth watching and in line with my own thoughts:

A contruct as our President

Friday Quick Hitters - 8/2/2024

It's Friday afternoon, and I'm short on time. Lemme just toss a couple of things out there:

Look ma, no votes!
1. Vice President Kamala Harris reportedly became the Democratic Party's Presidential Nominee today. The party that is saving or protecting democracy (oh, I forgot, it's freedom they're saving now, "saving democracy" wasn't polling well) has installed a person who hasn't answered reporters questions on anything about anything, whose appearances are only in front of friendlies, and only with a teleprompter. The nominee won no primaries. Nobody voted for her her for President in 2024 at all. Her staff is revising every one of her far left positions on every issue to something more palatable to a broader audience. But Dems and the media? All in! Who gives a shit if she's capable or competent?

2. Race is the third rail of politics for any conservative or Republican. If you don't conform to leftist racial orthodoxies, almost every question on race is the equivalent of the no right answer: "Do you still beat your wife?" For me, IDGAF if Harris is Black, Asian, Canadian, African American, or whatever the heck she's marketing herself as today, the bottom line is she is terrible on all of my most important issues: immigration, the economy, crime, foreign affairs, and 2A rights. And yes, she was the fucking border czar according to leftist media when it suited their narrative, now I'm supposed to be so goddamned stupid I don't remember. Talk to Joe, he's the one who don't remember.

3. Joe Biden is going, going, gone. The man is looney tunes and is is an embarrassment and a disgrace that he is still in office. He doesn't know where he is half the time, nor who he's talking to. He wanders lost at events and loses his train of thought 20x more often than your clothes dryer loses socks. Commander in Chief is living large in the cuckoo's nest.

4. Trump is NOT a conservative. He is a mid-stream moderate. This is why the GOP establishment hates him. If you want to know why Trump has swerved to the left/middle lately, I'll tell you, and it might not be what you think. The small tent, establishment, right wing of the GOP has abandoned him because he's not conservative enough for them. It seems they're intransigent, and he needs more votes. If he can't get them on the right, where the hell do they think he's going to turn? Dumbasses. You're pushing him leftward yourselves.

5. I like J.D. Vance. I have been closely watching politics for a long, long time. I'm here to tell you, no matter who Trump picked, the left/Dems and establishment/GOP would be engaged in the same screeching and howling. And a bunch of weirdos calling him weird is really weird.

Have a nice weekend.

When Trump Addressed NABJ and Other Stuff - 8/1/2024

ABC's Rachel Scott opened the interview by stringing every anti-Trump racial trope she could into her "question". Trump, as he is wont to do, fired back. The moral of the story is 'if you go full asshole on Trump, don't be shocked when he comes back at you just as aggressively, probably more so.'

There are several things I want to mention this morning, but first things first. I saw the entire interview Trump did yesterday with the National Association of Black Journalists. I give him credit. Considering the leftward lean of journalists in general, and the leftward lean of the Black community in our country, Trump went straight into a lion's den. Meanwhile, his opponent is using the same strategy as President Biden: teleprompters only, no Q&A from any journalists as yet, and certainly none from as hostile a group as this one was to Trump.

I'm glad that Trump didn't take any shit from her, but I do think he blew it on the "DEI hire" question. When asked if he considered Vice President Harris a DEI hire, he called her out for selling herself off as an Asian (Indian) woman, and now as a Black woman. Because she's half and half, I suppose she has the high ground on this, and I think he went all wrong in how he answered it.

President Biden seems to me to have called Vice President a DEI hire in a Memorial Day address this past May.

If I was to answer the same loaded question, I'd have said something like: "I don't know if she was a DEI hire. You'd have to ask Joe Biden that question. What I do know is that she isn't very good at her job. Her assignment to manage the border crisis has been a disaster. If we had a fair and impartial press, and she were held to the same level of scrutiny that Republicans are on the issues, especially the ones she's suddenly flip-flopping on, it would be obvious to everyone with eyes to see and ears to hear that she's not up to the job. Does that make her a DEI hire? I don't know. Only Joe Biden knows why he picked such an ineffective person as his Vice President."

Senator and Vice Presidential candidate J.D. Vance is in a bi-racial marriage and has bi-racial children. The trope the left is running on and on with about him is insanity. In other words, to be expected.
The second thing I want to mention is about the attacks on Trump's VP pick,  J.D. Vance. And I'm not going to waste a lot of space on it. It is simply this: The never-Trump wing of the GOP, the establishment bozos me and many others rejected which is why we have Trump in the first place were going to be dissatisfied with ANY person Trump selected is he chose someone other than one of their establishment types. Likewise, ANY GOP VP nominee is and was going to be attacked by the left.

The fact that the GOP establishment and Democrats don't like him gives me confidence he's a good pick.

A genetic male boxer, fighting in the women’s division in the Olympics, busted an Italian female boxer’s nose, leaving her crying and defeated in less than a minute.

This is far left lunacy. It can’t be defended. It can’t be explained away. And it can’t be undone. The woman who lost has had her dreams and efforts destroyed by far left lunacy. It’s asinine and stupid. I wish the victorious ‘woman’ could be put in the ring against the Olympic Italian male boxer in the same weight class and have their nose busted in the course of getting their ass handed to them.

Far left wokism. Some of you will be voting for it in November. Yeah, you will. You know you will. You’ll say you’re opposed to this stuff, but in the end you’ll vote against candidates who stand up against it and oppose it. The far left owns the whole of the left, yourselves included.
